* आमाशय "J" आकार की सरचना है 

* आमाशय आहारनाल का सबसे चौड़ा भाग होता है 

* आमाशय में भोजन लगभग 3 से 4 घण्टे रहता है 

* आमाशय की ओक्जेणिटक कोशिकाओं ( अम्लजन ) Hcl अम्ल ( हाइड्रोक्लोरिक अम्ल )स्त्रावित होता है 

* Hcl अम्ल की मात्रा बढ़ने से ही एसिडिटी ( अम्लता ) हो जाती है 

उपचार = मैगिनशियम हाईड्राक्साईड mg (oH )2 

hcl  अम्ल के कार्य :- 

* पेट को रोगाणु मुक्त रखना 

* निषिक्रय पेनिनोजन को सकिर्य में बदलना 

* अमाशय के एजाईम 

* पेपिसन = प्रोटीन का पाचन करना है 

* रेनिन = दुध की केसिन नामक प्रोटीन का पाचन करता है

 NOTE:-  रेनिन एजाईम वयस्क अवस्था में नहीं पाया जाता है
