The full moon of the month of Ashadh is called Guru Purnima. This day is the law of Guru worship. Guru Purnima falls in the beginning of the rainy season. For four months from this day, the Parivraksha sadhu-saints are staying in one place and they are blessed with the Ganga of knowledge. These four months are also the best in terms of weather.
