The full moon of the month of Ashadh is called Guru Purnima. This day is the law of Guru worship. Guru Purnima falls in the beginning of the rainy season. For four months from this day, the Parivraksha sadhu-saints are staying in one place and they are blessed with the Ganga of knowledge. These four months are also the best in terms of weather. No more heat and no more colds. Hence studies have been considered suitable. As the sun-hot land receives the power to produce cold and crop from rainfall, the seekers present in the Guru-Stage have the power to acquire knowledge, peace, devotion and yoga power. [1]This day is also the birthday of Lord Krishna Dwyapayan Vyas, the creator of Mahabharata. He was a learned scholar of Sanskrit and he also composed four Vedas. Because of this, their name is Ved Vyas. They are called Adiguru and in their honor, Guru Purnima is also known as Vyasa Purnima. Saint Ghisadas of Bhaktikal was born on this day, he was a disciple of Kabirdas. [2]In the scriptures, the meaning of Gu has been defined - the meaning of darkness or original ignorance and Ru means - its prohibition. The guru is said to be the master so that he ignores the ignorance of Timir with the knowledge and wisdom. [3] That means, the person who takes the light out of darkness and goes towards the light is called 'guru'.

"Ignorance Timirandhcha Gyananjan Shalakya, Chakkunmilitam Tasam Shri Guruvayam Namah"In a verse, for the commonality in the guru and the deity, it has been said that as the need for devotion is for the deity, even for the same Guru. [A] It is also possible to interview God with the grace of Sadhguru. Nothing is possible in the absence of the grace of the master. [B]The festival of Guru Purnima is celebrated throughout India with great reverence and pomp. In ancient times, when the students used to receive free education at the ashram of the Guru, on this day, after being inspired by reverence, they worshiped their Guru and were given power by giving them their power according to their power. Even today its importance has not diminished. In the schools of traditional education, in today's music and arts students, this day is also to honor the guru. Puja is done in the temples, holy rivers have baths, place bazaars and fairs are held.
