    Under this project, "Tilaiya Dam, Konar Dam, Maithan Dam, Panket Dam and Durgapur Barrage have been constructed.

    Its main advantage is Jharkhand and West Bengal.2 . Kosi Project: -

    Joint project of India and Nepal on the Kosi river, which is believed to be the bereavement of Bihar.
    The canal has been derived from Nirmal "Hanuman Nagar Barrage" in Kosi river.
    The main purpose of this project is flood control and Bihar-Nepal has a beneficial scheme.3. Gandak project: -

    It is built between Indo-Nepal on the Ganges river of Ganga.
    Its purpose is irrigation and power generation.
    This brings benefits to Nepal, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.4. Hirakud dam project: -

    This is the longest dam (4.8 km) of India built in Mahanadi on the border of Orissa and Chhattisgarh.
    This scheme was started for flood control in Delta areas of Mahanadi.
    Irrigation, flood control, and electrical production are its main objectives.5. Tungabhadra River Project: -

    Joint project of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh situated on the Tungabhadra river,
    Irrigation and power generation are the main objectives.

 6. Nagarjuna Sagar Project: -

    The project on Krishna River in Andhra Pradesh was named after the famous Buddhist Saint Nagarjuna.
    Its main purpose is irrigation and power generation.
    The beneficiary state is Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.7. Bhakra-Nangal Project: -

    Located in the Satluj river in Punjab, India is the largest multi-purpose project.
    It is the world's highest gravitational dam located in the seismic zone.
    The lake named after this dam is Govind Sagar, which is named after 10th Guru Govind Singh of the Sikhs.
    Indira Canal has been developed from Rajasthan under its subsidiary Indira Gandhi Project. Which is India's largest canal system.
    Its main purpose is irrigation and power generation.
    Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana are the beneficiaries of this state.8. Thin Dam Project (Jamnalal Bajaj Sagar): -

    A joint project of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan located in Chambal river,

    Its main objective is soil conservation, irrigation and power generation.
    The beneficiary state is Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.10. Narmada Valley Project: -

    Under this, 5 major dams have been constructed. Rani Avanti Sagar (Bargi Dam), Indira Sagar, Sardar Sarovar Dam, Maheshwar Dam, Omkareshwar Dam.
    Its main purpose is irrigation, hydropower generation and soil conservation.
    Sardar Sarovar Dam is a joint project of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
